My Father’s Business

(Excerpt from “21 Day Prayer Challenge for Passionate Educators”

by Dr. Stephanie A. Harper)

“Did ye not know that I ought to be (occupied) in my Father’s business?”

Luke 2:49b (Darby Bible Translation)

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20

As passionate educators, everyday you are on a divine assignment. God has strategically positioned you to change the lives of students by creating classrooms and schools that operate in alignment with kingdom principles. You must resign to the truth that you have been crucified with Christ, and it is He who lives in you. Your thoughts and plans for your life belong to Christ. Therefore, just as Jesus did during his earthly ministry, be intentional about doing your Father’s business.

Prayer:

Abba, Father, you will be honored today. I surrender every lesson plan, agenda, or itinerary to you. I will be intentional in following the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is Christ who lives in me. So, today, I will be about “your business.” Thank you, Father, for transforming the educational system. In Jesus’ name, amen.
